In this first episode, hosts Shawn Stratton and Ronnie 'Tsunami' Gandiza give themselves a short introduction, explain why they started the Plant-Based Profits Show podcast, and share what to expect in the first few episodes.
Founder of the International Vegan Film Festival
Shawn Stratton, is the Director of the International Vegan Film Festival and World Tour. He started the festival in 2018 to inspire, educate and entertain audiences with vegan-themed films from around the world. Shawn is also an international leadership and team development consultant, professional speaker, bestselling author, Ironman and Ultramarathon competitor.
Shawn has a bachelor’s degree in Experiential Education and a Master’s in Leadership. He devoted 15 years to leading teams on wilderness expeditions around the world into some of the harshest environments, and, most recently, eight years consulting with corporations on leadership and team development. His first book, Teams on the Edge: Stories & Lessons from Wilderness Expeditions, was an instant bestseller and won a bronze medal in the Global E-Book Awards.
Shawn came to veganism for health concerns after watching several influential documentaries. He and his family, including 3 young daughters, live in Ottawa and have been eating a plant-based diet since 2015.
Ronnie 'Tsunami' Gandiza

Ronnie 'Tsunami' Gandiza is the Chief Executive Officer of the Plant-Based Network, a lifestyle and entertainment cable TV and online network that promotes the plant-based lifestyle and its benefits for improving people's health, creating a more sustainable planet, and encouraging compassion for others.
Prior to his career in marketing, Ronnie was in the training and education space for over 25 years, and his learning solutions have been implemented in more than 10,000 academic institutions, non-profits and enterprise organizations around the world including Microsoft, the US Air Force, and LETS Empower. In addition, he has helped to build online and local support communities with millions of members in over 400 cities around the world in the fields of information technology, business, and health and wellness.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Ronnie stated his career in Information Technology serving in the US Air Force, as well as Lead Network Engineer for the Secretary of Defense, and Director of Information Services for the Congressional Commission on Veterans Affairs.
In addition to attaining multiple certifications in IT and project management, Ronnie earned a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell University.
